Forever Server Plans Compared: Forever IKS, VIP, VIP2, Sports Add-on and Data Service

Forever sells more than one plan, and the names look alike. People often renew the wrong one and then find that the channels they wanted are on a different package. This guide puts the five Forever satellite plans side by side so you can choose once and choose correctly.

Playrix Sky is an official Forever dealer. Every plan below is the original Forever product, activated on your own receiver.

The short version

Forever Server IKS: the standard plan. Pick it if your dish points at the satellites used in Pakistan, India, the Middle East or Europe.
Forever VIP IKS: for Africa and the Middle East, on Nilesat 7W, Badr 26E and Eutelsat 36E.
VIP2: the top level, with the widest satellite list and TV, Stream and Data services in one plan.
CAS Service (Sports Add-on): an extra for sports channels on 51.5E and 7E. It is added to a receiver, it does not replace your main plan.
Data Service: an extra that adds a fuller program guide with posters and translations.

Forever Server IKS

This is the plan most customers in South Asia renew. It lists Paksat 38E, Airtel 108E, Tataplay 83E, Sun Direct 91E, Asiasat 105E, Intelsat 68E, DSmart 42E, Express 80E, Hotbird 13E, Badr 26E, Eurobird 9E, Dialog 45E, Big Bang 52E and Amos 4W.

Choose it if your dish is already set to one or more of those positions. It comes in short and long durations, so you can start with a short one and move to a year later. See the Forever Server IKS plan.

Forever VIP IKS

VIP is built for Africa and the Middle East. It works on Nilesat 7W, Badr 26E and Eutelsat 36E and includes the TV Service and Data Service. It does not include the Stream (IPTV) service.

Choose it if your dish points at one of those three positions and you want the VIP channels on them. See the Forever VIP IKS plan.

VIP2

VIP2 is the highest Forever level. It covers 7W, 13E, 16E, 19E, 23E, 26E, 28E, 36E and 68.5E, and it bundles TV, Stream and Data services. New packages that Forever adds later are also placed in this plan.

Choose it if you have a motorised dish or several LNBs and want the widest coverage in one renewal. If you only watch one satellite, a lower plan is usually enough. See the VIP2 plan.

The two add-ons

CAS Service (Sports Add-on) gives English sports channels on 51.5E and French sports channels on 7E, for continental Africa. See the Sports Add-on.

Data Service adds an advanced program guide with multi-language translation, posters and trailers. It works on a receiver that already has an active service. See the Data Service.

How to choose in three questions

Which satellite is your dish on? This decides most of it. If you are not sure, check the satellite name in your receiver's channel list or installation menu.
What do you want to watch? Local and regional channels are on the standard plan. VIP channels need VIP or VIP2.
Do you also want streaming? Only VIP2 includes the Stream service together with satellite. If you want internet TV only and have no dish, look at Apollo IPTV instead.

What you need to renew

Every Forever plan is activated on your receiver's Serial Number (SN). You will find it under Menu, System Setting, STB Information. Our guide on finding your serial number shows it with examples.

Type the number carefully. A plan activated on a wrong serial number cannot be moved to another receiver.

Before you pay

Check that your receiver model supports Forever. Starsat, Geant, Tiger, Media Star and QMEX models are the common ones.
Update the receiver software if an update is available.
Make sure the receiver has a working internet connection. IKS needs the internet as well as the dish.
Read the Refund Policy. If a plan you paid for cannot be activated, you get a full refund. Once a plan is activated, the sale is final.
